About us

Wild Ginger Beauty is a holistic boutique salon tucked in the heart of Curl Curl on Sydney’s Northern Beaches on Guringai Land.

We specialise in slow beauty, offering treatments that address the mind-body connection rather than just surface fixes.

In a world driven by speed, screens, and surface perfection, a powerful movement is quietly transforming the way we think about beauty.

Far beyond trends, holistic beauty is a powerful philosophy.

We donate $1 from every treatment to Transforming Beauty, a charity empowering survivors of trafficking and abuse through beauty therapy education.

This program provides a living wage and a career pathway, along with community and a new sense of confidence.

True Beauty is diversity.

You’re welcome here just as you are.

We are pro-aging and body positive.

Lasting beauty comes from good health, self-confidence, and showing kindness to yourself and others.

We only use honest-to-goodness products.

The products we handpick to use and sell in our salon are chosen for quality, effectiveness, and gentleness on our planet.

We provide the space to reset.

Take pause from the busyness of the outside world.  In the embrace of the salon, you will feel grounded, your cup refilled, ready to face the world again.

Hi, I’m Cara,

I’m an experienced holistic beauty and massage therapist and owner of Wild Ginger Beauty since 2012, first in Freshwater and now in Curl Curl.

With decades of experience working in the industry both here and overseas, I reached a turning point. I found myself deeply frustrated by the lack of diversity in an industry that had become too clinical and detached.

For centuries women have gathered to care for, lift up, and nurture one another.

Somewhere along the way, the industry became overwhelming cosmeceutical. Losing that sacred true meaning of genuine nurturing, I took a leap of faith and opened Wild Ginger Beauty - a space born from a desire to bring heart and connection back to skin health.

When I am not at work doing what I love, you can find me leaning into simple pleasures that fill my cup.

My absolute favourite moments are spent with my daughter, starting the day with a good coffee, and getting lost in a great book.

I feel most at home near the ocean or on a yoga mat. I have a weak spot for wandering op shops looking for hidden treasures, and I firmly believe that there isn’t much a deep belly laugh can’t fix.

This is a space for everybody, to rest and fill up your cup.

Welcome to Wild Ginger Beauty

Cara xx

Holistic beauty integrates wellbeing with inner balance. More than a personal practice, it’s a cultural shift.

We’re consciously moving away from a superficial quick fix, toward routines that offer emotional, physical, and energetic support.

We acknowledge the impact of texture, ritual, and physical beauty, grounded in the understanding that the skin reflects what is happening within.

We merge natural skincare, mental health, lifestyle and nutrition, into one meaningful whole.

We love supporting other local businesses, so if you are looking for something out of our area of expertise, we are happy to recommend a practitioner from our community of holistic therapists.
